Athletico is preparing for its debut in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, which will take place this Saturday (3), at 9:30 p.m. (Brasília time), against Oeste (SP). Focused on the biggest competition of the country’s youth categories, in an interview with Rede Furacão, coach Alexandre Lemos spoke about the expectations regarding the conflict.
“We have two biases, first of all, competitive performance. We are in a giant club, a big club like Athletico must have results. It is impossible to work without thinking about the result at Athletico Paranaense, but we also have to have the training side, what the club asks for, what the club recommends, have good athletes, trained athletes with great ability, with the potential to play here. We intend to play a good role, a role worthy of Athletico.”said the coach of the U17 team.
In the first phase of the tournament, Furacão will play the matches in Araçatuba, inside São Paulo, headquarters of Group 5. Despite the distance, the commander hopes to count on the support of the red and black supporters, virtually or in the stands.
“I know that when we create this synergy and when the supporters are present, even if on social networks or on site, through the matches, there in São Paulo, it is not that far, it is a synergy which generates a very high performance and that is what we need. They are young boys, but they carry a very big responsibility, which is to wear the jersey of a big club like this in an important competition.concluded the coach.
