A mass ended in great confusion, Monday evening (12/8), in Serra Sede, in Espírito Santo (ES), after a man invaded the church, knocked over hosts and hit the priest with a Bible. He even threatened religious people with death.
The celebration took place in commemoration of the Day of Our Lady of Conception, at the Sanctuary of São Benedito. However, it was cut short after the confusion.
In a video published by the Sim Notícias portal, the suspect appears immobilized by agents of the Municipal Guard. He was taken to an urgent care unit (APU), where he was found to have an outbreak.
The man was transferred to a psychiatric hospital, where he was admitted.
The priest was not injured and mass continued as normal after the man was taken away by guards.
