Azul carried 70,200 dogs and cats in the cabins of its planes throughout 2025, from January to December. Data shows that Viracopos Airport, in Campinas, was the main embarkation point for pets during this period.
Then come Recife (PE), Confins (MG), Belém (PA) and Porto Alegre (RS). Among the destinations most frequented by pets, Viracopos also comes first, followed by Confins, Recife, Belém and Congonhas, in São Paulo.
The company authorizes the boarding of animals weighing up to 10 kilos, including transport crate, provided they book in advance. It also requires additional fees (R$300 for nationals, different amounts for internationals) and airport check-in, with company approval and attention to destination-specific rules being essential.
Azul does not transport pets in the hold of aircraft and claims to respect national and international standards aimed at animal welfare throughout the flight.
