Former Brazilian Social Democratic Party (PSDB) state deputy from Bahia, Marcell Moraes, 47, was taken to the police station on suspicion of threatening his girlfriend in a condominium in Salvador. The episode would have occurred this Friday (12/12). According to reports, in addition to the threats, he insulted the victim, damaged her vehicle and threw the woman’s cell phone on the beach.

Bahia’s military police were called in to respond to cases of violence against women. On site, police officers from the 16th Independent Company heard the statements of the victim and witnesses. Marcell was then taken to the Women’s Assistance (Deam) police station.
