Babal Guimarães, influencer and brother of Lucas Guimarães, was arrested this Thursday morning (10/12), in Maceió, after the court ordered his return to the closed regime. The decision came after the release of a video in which he appears attacking his ex-girlfriend, model Karla Lessa, recorded in the early hours of November 28 and released last Thursday (12/04).
According to Portal Leo Dias, Babal reported to authorities and was taken to the penitentiary unit. He was already serving an open sentence of one year, four months and nine days for domestic violence against his ex-wife, Teresa Santos Costa. The arrest warrant was issued by the Alagoas Court on Tuesday (12/9).
In the images, the couple is arguing and Babal is pulling Karla by the hair. She tries to defend herself with an object taken from the sidewalk, but he takes the object and uses it to hit her. Then, the victim tries to run away, and the influencer slaps her.
The court ordered Babal to undergo a criminal examination before entering prison and ordered the initiation of administrative disciplinary proceedings for serious misconduct.
In addition to the case for which he has already been convicted, the influencer has other assault charges. He also allegedly raped another ex-partner, the influencer Emilly Garcia, and more recently Karla Lessa, who chose not to file a police report for the episode filmed by security cameras.
