The liquidation of Banco Master has left hanging the fate of an area equivalent to almost three football fields in the middle of Faria Lima, the most sought-after business address in the country. According to a survey by consulting firm Newmark, only in São Paulo does Master have rental contracts for corporate buildings totaling 22,400 square meters. The area is divided into three buildings, all located in Faria Lima.
The bank occupies the entire Auri Square, in Vila Olímpia, in addition to having slabs in the Pátio Malzoni and the B32, the one with the whale sculpture – perhaps the two most emblematic buildings in all of Faria Lima, known for its sleepy architecture.
As the Chronicle reported last week, before the collapse, Master was already delivering some of its slabs. At B32 itself, Daniel Vorcaro’s bank transferred the rental contract for the 11th floor to GCB Investimentos, a private credit structure founded by Gustavo Blasco.
