Some 30,000 Germans filled the stands at the Camp Nou during the second leg of the 2022 Europa League quarter-finals, in a match that Barca ended up losing 3-2, being eliminated from the continental competition. A bitter memory that led the culé club to take measures, announcing that it would allocate “all available seats exclusively to members”, with the aim of “ensuring the safety of Barça supporters and, at the same time, avoid a repeat of the episode experienced in April 2022while the majority of the public present did not belong to the local supporters”.
