Three athletes from Beach Sports Assessoria – BSA – helped Brazil win, this Sunday, the second title of the Junior Beach Tennis World Cup, which took place in Ribeirão Preto (SP).
The national team defeated powerful Italy 2-1 by decision. In the first match of the decisive clash, the native of Santa Catarina, from Florianópolis, Beatriz Valério, and the native of São Paulo, Isabela Massaioli, beat Alice Pepi and Elena Clacci by 6/1 6/3.
In the men’s category, Henrique Medeiros and Leonardo Neiva were beaten by Alex Agirelli and Giacomo Polino 6/0 6/3. In mixed, Valerio and Medeiros beat Pepi and Giulio Brunello by 6/3 6/4.
Sofia Espíndola, from Blumenau (SC), won matches in women’s doubles, as did Caio Gazoli, from Americana (SP), throughout the week, in a team led by Marcus Ferreira.
“We are very happy with this achievement, which begins above all with the trust and dedication of the families of Beatriz, Sofia and Caio. Families who have been able to respect the process, the cycles and the development of athletes with great discernment throughout their journey. Our role at BSA is precisely to give voice to these young talents in front of the brands, protect their paths and allow them to do what they love most: play, have fun and perform in sport at a high level. This achievement also reflects the excellent work that the CBT, together with state federations, has worked to strengthen grassroots beach tennis and build new generations of the sport. Congratulations to everyone involved,” said Marcus Máximo, BSA Marketing Director.
