In addition, the Bank will grant financing worth R$400 million through the Finem programme, a program aimed at initiatives to generate and increase production capacity in various sectors of the economy.
Of the total investments, R$2 billion will be allocated to Congonhas Airport, which will have a new passenger terminal. The aircraft apron will be expanded, and the number of boarding bridges will be increased from 12 to 19.
The resources will allow the implementation of the first phase of the concessions, which includes the expansion and adaptation of the airports. The deadline for completion at Congonhas is June 2028, and at the other airports June 2026.
The financing provided to Aena is a non-recourse project financing type, where payment is made using the project revenue stream. After completion of the business, the franchisor will be able to refinance the debt with a change in financial cost (repricing).
