Amazon this week released its traditional list of the best-selling books of the year, and in 2025, the top of the ranking brought something unusual: two volumes of the Bobbie Goods coloring book collection, created by Abbie Goveia.
“From Day to Night” and “Dias Quentes” take the top spots. A third book, “This and That”, came in eighth place.
Virtual book sales are now in the majority compared to physical stores, and Amazon is the main platform on which this commerce takes place, the sample is therefore significant.
The Bobbie Goods collection, published in Brazil by HarperCollins, attracts both young people and children as well as adults looking for stress relief and a stimulating pastime.
These titles overthrew last year’s champion, the devotional “Café com Deus Pai”, by pastor Júnior Rostirola, published by Velos, which fell to third place in the list.
The book, already recurring on the retailer’s lists, is a reference in the religious segment, but it has not been able to resist the explosion of cute animals that have invaded social networks.
The Bobbie Goods collection is marked by a pretty minimalist aesthetic and the promise of relaxation. This trend is driven by social networks like TikTok and self-care communities.
American bestseller Colleen Hoover also appears in fourth place with the novel “Verity”, the story of a writer who finds himself embroiled in confusion within a seemingly perfect family, which is scheduled for release on the big screen in 2026.
“A Hora da Estrela,” by Clarice Lispector, is the only Brazilian fiction to make the list, at seventh place, the first time the book has reached the top 10.
The ranking also includes works such as Franz Kafka’s classic “The Metamorphosis” and self-help books such as Morgan Housel’s “Financial Psychology,” James Clear’s “Atomic Habits” and George S. Clason’s “The Richest Man in Babylon” indicate that the appetite for personal development remains high.
