Bolsonarion says Michelle has a personal project for power – 03/12/2025 – Monica Bergamo

Leaders of the Liberal Party and other parties allied with former President Jair Bolsonaro accuse Michel Bolsonaro of working exclusively for the project of personal power at the expense of Bolsonarism as a whole.

They claim the former first lady is creating or helping to create confusion because of electoral alignments specifically in states that want to field what one representative calls “right-wing feminists” as Senate candidates.

They will, in addition to being women, have the quality of intense loyalty to the former First Lady, who today is headed by PL Mulher. If elected, they will owe victory to her, and will help form the nucleus of “Michelian” power within the Labor Party.

The background will be the dispute between her and Bolsonaro’s children – especially Flavio over the leadership of the former president’s estate, who is now in prison and has limited political activity.

In Ceara, the reason behind the recent quarrel between Michele and her stepsons Flavio, Carlos and Eduardo Bolsonaro, she is lobbying Fortaleza’s councilor Priscilla Costa (PL) to fill one of the positions vacant in the party due to the conflict. An evangelical, her teaching is to advocate on topics related to family and life.

However, the president of the PL, Andre Fernández, wants to put his father, Alcides, in the fray for the Senate, on a ticket with Ciro Gomez for the state government and Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE) for the second vacancy of the Senate.

Michele strongly criticized the approach taken with Ciro. “It can’t be done,” she said, sparking a reaction from her stepchildren who described her as authoritarian.

In Santa Catarina, the former First Lady supports the candidacy of Federal Representative Caroline De Toni (PL-SC) for Senate. The problem is that the party’s state seat is already reserved for Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ). The second vacancy in the coalition will go to Senator Esperidío Amin (PP-SC).

Michele has already made statements in favor of Carole, as well as MP Anna Campagnolo (PL-SC), associated with her and the district president PL Mulher, who rebelled and said that Carole was passed over because the vacancy had been “given” to Carlos.

Carlos Bolsonaro called the parliamentarian a liar, and Eduardo stated that she was revolting against the senior leader, Jair Bolsonaro, who had ordered his son to run for the SC.

The third point of difference is the federal district. Michelle Naoya supports Pia Kisses (PL-DF), who wants to run for the Senate, at the expense of other allies of the Bolsonaro family, such as Governor Ibanes Rocha (MDB-DF).
