Brazilian fans were present in large numbers during the new stage of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup. According to FIFA data, 101,576 purchase orders were made from Brazil, a figure that places the country among the five countries with the highest demand outside the tournament venues, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The numbers are part of the third phase of marketing, called the draw. In fact, this is the first opening after the detailed release of the gaming table. The registration period continues until January 13 and those interested will know in February if their requests have been included in the draw.
Among non-host countries, Colombia easily comes out on top, with 367,376 requests. Then come England, Germany and Brazil. Argentina, the reigning world champion, follows closely, with just over 101,000 applications.
The ranking of the ten most requested countries at this stage is led by Colombia, followed by England, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Scotland, France, Australia and Spain.
According to football’s highest authority, five million tickets were requested in the 24 hours following the opening of this stage. In fact, two clashes between the Brazilian team are among the most sought-after matches by fans. In this case, it is Brazil x Morocco, scheduled for June 13, in New Jersey, and Brazil x Scotland, June 24, in Miami.
Additionally, the list of most popular matches also includes duels such as Colombia x Portugal, Mexico x South Korea and Ecuador x Germany. All in strategic cities with strong tourist appeal.
How will tickets for the World Cup be drawn?
Indeed, FIFA emphasizes that there is no criterion for the order of registration in the draw. This means that anyone who registers on the first or last day will have exactly the same chance of choosing which match they want to purchase entry for. To participate, you must have a FIFA ID and register on the official website of the entity, in the area designated for the draw.
During the first two sales windows, FIFA had already recorded around two million orders, a figure that increases significantly in this new phase. This confirms the expectation of full stadiums during the biggest World Cup in history, with 48 teams participating.
