
The Federal Police (PF) rescued, this Wednesday (12/11), four Brazilian women detained in a private prison in Guyana. The victims had gone to the neighboring country to work, but were deprived of their liberty in degrading conditions.
According to investigators, the case came to light when two of them managed to escape and return to Brazil, immediately calling the federal police.

Following the complaint, urgent measures were taken and, through international cooperation, contacts were established with the Brazilian consulate and Guyanese authorities to facilitate the rescue of the others.
The rescue
Thanks to this joint work, the two other victims, including a minor, managed to safely return to the national territory.
The fact was formally registered with the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police of Roraima (RR).
The Federal Police said it is strengthening its permanent commitment to the protection of life, the fight against transnational crime and the defense of human rights, acting in an integrated manner with national and international bodies.
