Brazilians shine, Inter Milan ends Como’s invincibility and takes the lead in Italy

Luis Henrique and Carlos Augusto are the highlights of the championship surprise rout

In search of leadership Italian ChampionshipTHE Inter Milan ended a 12-game unbeaten streak for Assurprise in the competition and so far owner of the least leaky defense, with a resounding 4-0 defeat this Saturday at the San Siro stadium. Thus, the team led by Christian Chivu will sleep at the top of the table, putting pressure on their main competitors for the title.

The positive result took the Milan team to 30 points, overtaking Milan and Napoli, both with 28, in the standings. The Neapolitans will have a big challenge ahead of them this Sunday, against Juventus, at 4:45 p.m. (Brasilia time), while the Milanese fans will travel to Turin on Monday, also at 4:45 p.m.

Brazilian Luis Henrique started the match as a starter and was one of the highlights for Inter Milan. It was he who initiated the counterattack and pass that resulted in Lautaro Martínez’s goal, just 11 minutes into the first half, and others lost by the Argentine striker in front of goalkeeper Butez’s goal.

This early goal disrupted the best Italian defense – so far with seven goals conceded, alongside Roma -, which includes the Brazilian Diego Carlos. Up front, Nico Paz, a prominent figure on the visiting team, was closely watched and failed to score on Sommer’s goal.

Dominant on the pitch, Inter scored a second goal at the start of the second half, with Marcus Thuram, after a ball taken from a corner. In the final part of the match, Çalhanoglu scored with a shot from outside the area. Another Brazilian, Carlos Augusto, came on in the final minutes and, despite little action time, completed the 4-0 victory.
