During the discussion of the PL vote on dosimetry, this Tuesday (10), the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), criticized the Workers’ Party after being provoked by the party’s leader in the Chamber, MP Lindbergh Farias (RJ) – with whom he is divided.
Lindbergh recalled Hugo Motta’s inauguration speech, which mentioned the film “I’m Still Here,” about MP Marcelo Rubens Paiva and the military dictatorship. He criticized the decision to vote on the January 8 plan to reduce the sentences of convicts and cited Ulysses Guimarães.
After speaking, Hugo Motta responded: “Hearing here, repeatedly and repeatedly, members of the Workers’ Party, a party that I respect, I respect its history, invoking and talking about Ulysses Guimarães, when this party itself voted against the current Constitution, is truly a very historical inconsistency.”
Hugo Motta and Lindbergh Farias are separated after recent disagreements. The allies of the Speaker of the House emphasize their irritation at Lindbergh’s “exaltations” during the meetings of House leaders, the leaks of articulations and agreements under construction, the judicialization of cases and, above all, the political disputes on subjects considered costly, such as the Blindagem PEC and the Antifaction PL.
On the other hand, the PT deputies reproached the “immaturity” of the President of the Chamber in publicly announcing the break with the leader of the President of the Republic’s party, and attributed the struggle to the fact that Lindbergh defended positions considered “just” and that he “did not lower his head towards the center”.
