After the celebrations for the historic promotion achieved with the defense of the goal of Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, Brian Olivera already has his next goals in mind. His new goal is Racing de Córdoba and he wants to continue writing important chapters in his career.
The Córdoba goalkeeper, who came from the lower divisions of the Institute, spoke with an open heart in the program “Tercer Tiempo” broadcast on Sucesos radio, leaving definitions that explain his present, his past and, above all, his ambitions in the “Academy”.
The beginning of the conversation was so honest because he recognized that the departure of “León” was not easy: “Happy and sad. It hurt me not to agree to continue in Estudiantes. It was a hard blow. When you love someone, sometimes you have to let them go.” A phrase that reveals the emotional impact of an unexpected conclusion.
But Brian is one of those people who knows how to turn the tide. He then shared details of his first contact with the club and with President Manuel Pérez, with a view to his arrival at Racing de Nueva Italia. “I talked to Manuel Pérez, he’s a sweet, crazy guy. I like him. The only thing he told me is not to come with the pink socks. I like the pressure. I train not to make mistakes.”“, held.
Pablo Fornasari: “We are designing racing with ambition”
One of the strongest moments of the interview was when he talked about his feelings for “Gloria”, the club of his loved ones. “I am a fan of the Instituto and my entire family is from La Gloria, but that does not mean that I will defend racing with my life.”. “My family told me that they would accompany me,” he said without a tape, clear identity and absolute professionalism.
In an important market he was encouraged to give his opinion on a possible bomb for Córdoba football: “For me the Wanchope thing can be given to Racing. It doesn’t seem crazy to me that he is coming and I have confidence that he is coming. We all know that he is an Instituto fan, but it is work, I think he can come.”
Regarding the coaching staff around Pablo Fornasari, he left another positive signal: “I like the technician. He came to Racing not to waste time. I like these technicians who take care of it.”“.
Finally, Olivera concluded with the sentence that summarizes his arrival at the club and clearly expresses the goal: “I want to qualify and fight for promotion. I’m not afraid of that word.” “I come to racing to make history, like I did in Estudiantes.”
