The vote on the PLOA (Budget Bill) of 2026 in the National Congress was postponed until Friday (18), informed the agencies of the House and Senate.
The vote was scheduled for this Thursday (17), but the project must be analyzed by the CMO (Mixed Budget Commission), before being analyzed during a joint session of the National Congress. The CMO meeting is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m.
According to Agência Senado, deputy Isnaldo Bulhões Jr. (MDB-AL), budget rapporteur, has yet to present the final report. The preliminary report, approved earlier this month by the commission, projects total spending of 6.5 trillion reais and a target surplus of 34.2 billion reais.
Friday’s congressional session has other items on the agenda, including a project that allocates 8.3 billion reais for the creation of the Tax Benefits Compensation Fund provided for in the tax reform.
