The Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, has defended that with his demands on the PSOE, Sumar is looking for “ways out” of the current crisis of the executive, which is about giving meaning to the legislature and not just that the government remains.
This was expressed in the corridors of the Senate after the parties holding the ministries of the minority partner called for an urgent meeting with the PSOE to revive the executive in response to the cases of alleged corruption and sexual harassment widespread in the ranks of the Socialists.
Bustinduy has stated that it is “proof” that “many progressive people are shocked” by the scandals that have occurred these days, claiming that Sumar and the entire left are trying to find a response to this situation.
“The exit routes are intended to give meaning to the government, not just because the government remains,” explained the minister, who assured that the best response to the crisis that is afflicting the executive is to “accommodate” and extend by decree 600,000 rental contracts that are expiring this year.
