A pastry shop located in a mansion on Avenida Angélica, in the central region of São Paulo, serves rich treats, brunch and lunch.
Cakess, as its name suggests, has cakes as its flagship product. There are classic options, like brigadeiro and prestige, with trendy flavors, like crunchy nutella (from R$23.90 to R$25.90 per slice).
The semi-sweet ganache has an intense flavor and, for those who want to eat it for dessert, you can add a scoop of ice cream.
For brunch, savory snacks like eggs and sandwiches are offered. The croque monsieur is well served and worth a meal (R$35). Lighter, the avocado salmon is made on a croissant with slices of smoked fish, avocado and sour cream (R$47.90).
The meat and beer pie has a light dough and a rich filling of well-seasoned shredded meat (R$19.90).
Coffee can be prepared in different ways, such as filtered in the Hario V60, which is passed on the table (R$ 9.20 to R$ 17.90), French press and siphon (R$ 30.90).
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., it offers lunch options, such as salads, pastas, and chicken or fillet dishes, with rice, beans, and fries (R$35.90 to R$59.90).
The house occupies three floors of the mansion located at the top of Avenida Angélica, a few blocks from Avenida Paulista.
