The Brazilian duo formed by the couple Hugo Calderano and Bruna Takahashi won their first match during the WTT final in Hong Kong. After their debut defeat, they beat the Spaniards Álvaro Robles and Maria Xiao, by 3 sets to 1.
Despite the balance at the start of the match, the Brazilians won comfortably after finding their rhythm. The match splits were 11/7, 11/3, 11/7 and 11/8.
