After a five-year hiatus, Lagoa’s famous Christmas tree is back. The massive building, 60 meters high and 20 kilometers of LEDs and flexible neon lights, will be illuminated on Saturday, during a free concert by the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra – with repertoire ranging from Tchaikovsky to Milton Nascimento. The musicians, led by Felipe Prazeres, will welcome singer Analo Pimenta to the old Complexo Lagoon, on Saturday, at 8 p.m.
In addition to the tree itself, which is up until January 6 (Sunday to Thursday, 7 p.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.), both the Lagoon and Parque do Cantagalo will have Christmas programs. In the first, an exhibition of fashion, decoration, handicrafts, sanitary items and food trucks will be created, as well as presentations by Diogo Nogueira (Dom) and Grupo Fox (13th place), among others. On the other side of Lagoa Lake, in Cantagallo, children will be able to enjoy Santa Claus’s house, open for free photo ops on Saturdays and Sundays, from 5pm to 10pm, until the 28th (with special times on the 24th and 25th).
- Bering’s inner circle. Fábrica Bhering opens the doors of its showrooms and restaurants for the final edition of the year. At 4 p.m., a blues show with Fernando Soma and Banda. Rua Orestes 28, Santo Cristo. Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm.
