Chapecoense released this Monday (15) the home uniform that will be used next season. The new jersey carries strong symbolism and was developed as a tribute to Atlético Nacional, of Colombia, in addition to keeping alive the memory of the victims of the plane crash which marked the history of the club and world football, whose decade will end in 2026.
Design saves historical tradition
The model brings a marked change in appearance. For the first time since the 1970s, Chapecoense’s home jersey once again features green and white vertical stripes, reprising a classic feature of Santa Catarina’s club identity. This choice strengthens the link between the past, the present and the collective memory of the institution.
Neto participates in the official launch
The presentation of the new uniform took place in the presence of former defender Neto, one of the survivors of the 2016 tragedy. The photo session with the former athlete gave even more meaning to the launch, connecting the tribute to the history of the club.
Tribute to Atlético Nacional
According to Chapecoense, the new uniform goes beyond a symbolic memory. The jersey also represents a gesture of recognition for the action of Atlético Nacional after the plane crash, when the Colombian club provided support and solidarity in one of the most difficult moments of the Alviverde’s trajectory.
— The coat of the 2026 season is a tribute to Atlético Nacional, a club that in 2016 reaffirmed its greatness through remarkable gestures of solidarity, empathy and love towards others, which crossed borders and became an inseparable part of the history of world football and the reconstruction of Chapecoense. In addition, of course, to celebrating the entire identity of the Chapecoense people — wrote the club, in a note.
The stamps reinforce the memorial character
The uniform has three special elements incorporated into the design. On the hem of the shirt, a seal was included as a symbol of respect and continued memory. Next to the collar, the inscription “Forever Remembered” appears, in reference to the victims of the 2016 plane crash. Inside the collar, the phrase “There are more than 11 of us” reinforces the idea of union, identity and heritage that transcends the terrain.
With the new uniform, Chapecoense seeks to combine tradition, memory and meaning, transforming the shirt into a symbol of respect, gratitude and historical identity.
