From the profits of this public company, 25.5 million euros were allocated to social purposes, adding 1,072,748 beneficiaries, while its suppliers earned 229 million euros while employing 516 people.
The origins of this state-owned company date back more than two centuries, in 1763, when the then King Calos III. founded the so-called “Royal Lottery”, the winnings of which were intended to benefit hospitals, hospices and other public institutions.
The first draw that took place was similar to that of La Primitiva, half a century later the National Lottery began to play.
