A detainee in Alicante by the National Police for exchanging extremely hard pornographic files made it possible to locate and arrest in Argentina a producer of child pornography who cloud services and applications used messaging to store and share this material.
The arrest was possible thanks to Ameripol’s international cooperation mechanisms, which urgently put in place allowed us to know the identity of the user who sent the files and put an end to these attacks against minors, as reported by the National Police.
Ultimately, the child pornography producer was arrested in the town of Claypole. Argentine researchers consider him one of the leaders of a international criminal organization dedicated to the production, marketing and dissemination of images and videos of sexual exploitation of minors, with operational ramifications in Europe and South America.
The investigation was carried out by the Central Cybercrime Unit in collaboration with agents of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Alicante, who managed to verify that the detainee had conversations with several people located in other countries, with whom he exchanged pedophile material.
One of these users, located in the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, sent the detainee several images of sexual content of a minor to which he claimed to have access.
Agents of the Central Cybercrime Unit, after submitting the images to an intelligence process, concluded that they were newly created child sexual abuse material, They therefore urgently activated the international contact mechanism to find out the identity of the user who sent the files and put an end to these attacks.
