THE public transport prices in the Community of Madrid will maintain the current reductions which allow, among others, those under 14 and over 65 to continue to travel for free on Metro, Cercanías and buses, urban and interurban.
This was confirmed by the Board of Directors of the Regional Transport Consortium after the meeting held this Monday during which it approved the tariffs for the year 2026. In short, prices have remained unchanged since July.
The authorities are thus maintaining the current reductions, which vary from 30% to 100% depending on the case, throughout next year. Extraordinary rates which, as the Consortium recalled, are in effect from July 1, 2025.

Among the most relevant prices, we must highlight the maintenance of a super reduced price of the youth pass at 10 euros and the fact that young people under 14 pay nothing.
In the same way, zone A (moving around the almond of the Spanish capital) will maintain the price of 32.70 euros.
It should be noted that these prices, dependent on the public transport network of the Community of Madrid, have nothing to do with the 30 euro subscription for all of Spain announced by the Sánchez government and which, at the moment, includes long and medium distance trains (not high speed) and intercity buses of the national network.
Madrid prices
The Minister of Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, chaired the CRTM Board of Directors where it was approved the continuation of the subsidy the fares that will benefit some six million users who will be able to continue to travel by metro, urban and intercity buses and light rail under the same economic conditions established over the last six months.
For this reason, the three types of free subscription that already existed will be maintained, the child card up to 7 years old, the one for those over 65 years old, entirely financed by the Regional Executive and the new one incorporated on July 1, 2025 with free access for minors up to 14 years old.
On the other hand, the 50% reductions on the youth pass are also extended, aimed at people between 15 and 25 years old, who will be able to continue traveling throughout the region for 10 euros per month.
Other monthly tickets for users between 26 and 64 years old will benefit from a 40% reduction, so the one in zone A maintains the rate of 32.70; B1 38.20; B2 43.20, and B3, C1 and C2: 49.20. Finally, The 10-trip voucher for Metro, EMT and ML1 will continue to cost 7.30 euros.
The bonuses are financed by the Community of Madrid together with the rest of the administrations adhering to the CRTM and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
