Aline Lima, daughter of singer Chitãozinho, spoke on social networks last Monday (12/8) after the funeral of her uncle, singer Mauri Lima. The artist died last Sunday (7/12), at the age of 55, following a road accident.
On Instagram, Aline shared how she felt after saying goodbye to Mauri: “I’m just going through it now. I don’t have much to say. Today was really a very sad day. All day. There’s this atmosphere, this feeling, there’s no way around it. So I just want to thank you for all the messages, for all the affection with the family.”
“It’s always good to know how loved he was. Everyone who lived with him knows that. A happy, happy uncle and that’s how I want to continue to remember him. There’s not much to say,” he added.

Death of Mauri Lima
Mauri Lima died this Sunday (7/12) in a road accident on the Régis Bittencourt highway (BR-116), in Miracatu (SP). He was 55 years old. He formed a duo with his brother, Maurício.

He had performed in Curitiba on Saturday (12/06) and was returning home when the accident occurred, around 2 p.m. A team member also died.
Born in 1970, in Mauá (SP), in the metropolitan region of the capital, Mauri lived in Indaiatuba (SP). He was married to SBT presenter Andrea Fabyanna and the uncle of Sandy and Junior.
The duo Mauri and Maurício was formed 35 years ago. Before that, as teenagers, they worked backstage at Chitãozinho and Xororó shows. Between 1980 and 1990, Maurício was the brothers’ double bassist and backing vocalist, while Mauri worked on production.
