Cissa Guimarães clarifies her relationship with Chico Buarque after her kiss

Presenter Cissa Guimarães, who hosts the show Sem Censura, on TV Brasil, opened her heart and explained how she deals with attacks and criticism on social networks. The celebrity said she was frequently the target of insults from supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). “I feel disgusted,” he said. She also clarified her real relationship with Chico Buarque after a kiss.

Offenses and insults

The celebrity, who also worked at TV Globo, spoke out against the dosimetry bill, which reduces the sentences of those found guilty of involvement in the coups of January 8, 2023. In an interview with the newspaper O Globo, she said that critics even use her son, Rafael Mascarenhas, who died in 2010, to try to offend her.

“I find it absurdly cruel. They use my son Rafael a lot to attack me, so I cancel the comments. When I position myself politically, it is obvious that the Bolsonions attack me. When I have time, I do a good cleaning. I block. I cancel. I say: ‘I don’t want this person hanging around me,'” declared the famous woman.

Reaction

Cissa Guimarães said losing her son was the greatest pain in the world and using him for offensive purposes was “wrong”. “If you pursue me, on my social network to insult me, to talk about my deceased son, then goodbye. It is a horrible harm that no human being has the right to do to another, with the greatest pain in the world,” he stressed.

“I don’t care if I lose 500, a thousand subscribers. I block and cancel everyone. I feel sorry, especially when it’s women, women who are mothers. More than hurt and sad, I feel disgusted. That says more about the person than about me,” added the presenter.

During the conversation, the celebrity said she would like to see political polarization decrease in 2026: “My hope is that we have less intolerance. When I go to demonstrations, it’s to realize my citizenship a little,” she stressed.

Kiss in Chico Buarque

During the demonstration against Dosimetria PL, Cissa Guimarães attracted attention by sharing a kiss with singer Chico Buarque. In the interview, she explained that it was just a gesture of affection: “My generation is a generation that has that attitude,” she said.

“I give a kiss to Caetano Veloso, I give a kiss to Gilberto Gil, even to Paula Lavigne. She’s from the generation of the end of the 80s. We talked like that. And it was something at the end of a demonstration, of a party. There is nothing, imagine. Something was created. There is Carol Proner (the singer’s companion), I have the greatest respect for her. Chico is my dear friend.”
