British comedian and actor Russell Brand, 50 years old and performing in films like All about my mess (2010), was accused by two other women of one count of rape and another of sexual assault, according to media such as Tutor and the BBC.
The ex-husband of American singer Katy Perry will also appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 20 to answer to these charges.
Last May, he was also charged with five other counts, one of rape, one of indecent assault and two of sexual assault committed against four other women, to which he pleaded not guilty in a London court. The start of this trial is scheduled for June 16, 2025.
An investigation carried out by the Channel 4 Dispatches program and the newspaper Sunday hours revealed testimonies from women who knew Brand between 1999 and 2005 and reported alleged predatory behavior on his part.
