The Copa do Brasil final is set. Corinthians and Vasco face each other in the big decision of 2025. The teams qualified from the semi-final this Sunday (14/12) and secured their place.
The first runner-up was Timão, the São Paulo team beat Cruzeiro on penalties and qualified. Later, it was the turn of Gigante da Colina to secure his place also on penalties. The teams face each other in the first legs on December 17 and 21.
The first dispute will be led by the Corinthians. Timão opens the dispute at the Neoquímica Arena this Wednesday (12/17). And on Sunday (12/21), it’s Vasco’s turn to send the big decision to the Maracanã.

Corinthians in the final
Corinthians qualified for the 2025 Copa do Brasil final by beating Cruzeiro on penalties this Sunday. Before that, Timão beat Cruzeiro 1-0 at Mineirão, with a goal scored by Dutchman Memphis Depay in the first half.
On the way back, to São Paulo, Raposa survived the setback suffered in the capital of Minas Gerais and led 2 x 0 with two goals from Arroyo, a result that would take the celestial team to the final. But in the second half, Bidu took advantage of Cássio’s free kick and equalized the score on aggregate.
On penalties, Hugo Souza stopped Gabigol and Wallace’s shots.
Timão returns to the final of the competition after six years. The last time they made this decision was in 2018, when they finished second behind Cruzeiro.
Finalist Vasco
Vasco returned to the Brazilian Cup final after fourteen years. The last time they were among the top two teams in the competition was in 2011, when they beat Coritiba in a decision showcasing the genius of Alecsandro. Gigante da Colina also improved in penalties. In the first match, at the Maracanã, as a home team, Vasco beat Fluminense 2-1 thanks to goals from Rayan and Vegetti.
In the return match which took place this Sunday, Vasco scored behind Paulo Henrique’s goal, but had the genius of Léo Jardim to defend the charges of John Kennedy and Canobbio.
