Even though it’s not Christmas yet, Cordoba CF received an early gift in the form of an economic benefit. And today, the Audiovisual Rights Management Control Body of the National Professional Football League … announced the sums received by the First and Second Division teams for the television rights for the 2024-2025 season.
In this sense, the green and white entity took advantage of 5.94 million eurosalthough he had to pay 500,000 euros in respect of his obligations. In total, the employers’ association distributed 1.432 million between the First and Second Divisions –173.30 million euros finished in the silver category of Spanish football.
Distribution criteria
To find out the reasons why Córdoba received this amount of money, La Liga first makes a fair distribution of the money. 70% of revenue between the 21 teams in the category. Concerning the remaining 30%, La Liga establishes two criteria. The first, the percentages achieved adjust to the sports result of each team. In this sense, the green and white team having finished the campaign in fourteenth position, it receives 2.05% of the total amount.
Regarding the other criterion, it is assigned on the basis the social implementation of each club. A third for the collection of subscriptions and the average box office of the last five seasons, and the other two thirds for its participation in the generation of resources from the marketing of television shows.
With data and details, Córdoba CF is the thirteenth most benefited team in the category. As usual, the highest places are reserved for teams relegated to the second division and who therefore have a economic compensation. The first is Cádiz -22.62 million euros-, followed by Almería -18.80 million euros- and the “Top 3” ends with Granada with 17.16 million euros.
