The game
Corinthians opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the first half. In a nice move, Kayke cleared the marking on the left wing and made the pass back. The ball found Martínez, who shot hard, with no chance for goalkeeper Jandrei. 1 x 0 for Timão.
Even while dominating the first half, Corinthians failed to convert their opportunities into goals. During the second stage, Juventude improved its performance and balanced the game.
In the 42nd minute, the goal of the Rio Grande do Sul team arrived. On a cross from Marcelo Hermes, Edison Negueba stood up alone in the area and left everything the same: 1 x 1 on the scoreboard and the end of the teams’ participation in this season’s Brasileirão.
