Box office exceeds 5 million reais for the fourth time since the opening of the arena

Corinthians recorded the highest revenue in the history of the Neo Química Arena in the first match of the Copa do Brasil final, against Vasco, this Wednesday (17). With 46,616 paying fans, total revenue reached R$5,469,214.00.
This amount exceeded the previous stadium record, recorded in 2022. On this occasion, Corinthians faced Flamengo in the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores. The revenue from the confrontation amounted to R$5,386,291.50, in front of an audience of 45,159 people. It was the fourth time the club surpassed the 5 million reais mark in ticket sales since the arena opened 11 years ago.
Among the biggest fundraisers was the 2018 Copa do Brasil final against Cruzeiro. The second leg generated revenue of R$5,108,151.00 and was attended by 45,978 fans. Next came the 2019 Campeonato Paulista final against São Paulo, with R$5,014,884.00 and an audience of 46,481 paying supporters.
On the field, Corinthians and Vasco played to a goalless draw in the first match of the decider. The teams will face each other again next Sunday (21), at 6 p.m. (Brasilia time), at the Maracanã. The winner of the confrontation wins the Copa do Brasil title. In the event of a new tie, the champion will be determined on penalties.
