
Marcelo Paz, formerly of Fortaleza, is the new director of football at Corinthians. The club announced the agreement this Saturday, after negotiations with Bruno Spindel, ex-Flamengo. Director of football for Fortaleza from 2015 to 2017, Paz became president of the Ceará club in 2017 and CEO of the club in 2023.
“Marcelo Paz takes on this role with the aim of strengthening internal processes, bringing his experience in sports management, strategic planning and project development, in addition to improving the integration between Corinthians youth teams and professional football,” the club said in an official statement.
Osmar Stabile, president of Corinthians, underlined the importance of the arrival of the new executive.
“The hiring of Marcelo Paz represents an important step in our project to restructure and strengthen Corinthians football. He is a recognized professional, with a modern management vision and proven leadership capacity,” he said.
“It is a great joy to take on this responsibility. I thank President Osmar for his trust and I am sure that with the strength of the team, the Faithful fans and our technical committee, we will do an excellent job,” said the new Corinthians leader.
