The striker took advantage of the progress of the negotiations and left Porto Alegre for Uruguay, where he is awaiting the official announcement.
Cristian Olivera has accepted the proposal from Nacional (URU) and is about to leave Grêmio. After all, the striker has already left Porto Alegre for Montevideo and is waiting for the end of negotiations announced by his new club.
Through an intermediary, the Nacional officially presented the offer to the new management of Immortal. The Uruguayans want a one-year loan for Cristian Olivera, with a fixed purchase price at the end of the contract. In this way, the agreement between the two clubs is in the details.
The Gauchos still say they are analyzing the proposal. On the other hand, Nacional remains confident. After all, in an interview with the program “Warda con Estos”, on “Aweno TV”, the vice-president of the Uruguayan club, Flavio Perchman, said that Cristian Olivera would be a player of the club next season.
“Yes, he will play for Nacional. A loan and a purchase option,” he stressed.
The player was Grêmio’s most expensive signing in 2025, alongside defender Wagner Leonardo. After all, it cost $4.5 million (R$25.6 million at the time). Despite the high values, Cristian Olivera failed to live up to expectations in his first season.
In total, he played 37 matches for Grêmio in 2025, with six goals scored and two assists distributed.
