Alceu Valença, Zé Neto and Cristiano and more: what to do in DF
“The biggest problem, at first, was the electronic cigarette, which started to affect what he loved most, which was his voice. He didn’t even have a voice to speak. He arrived to do shows, he didn’t have a voice to sing and anesthetized himself with alcohol. He went on stage drunk and, at the same time, he was treating his depression with medication,” he told YouTuber Andre Piunti.
Cristiano said he had to give his friend an ultimatum: “I had to give him an ultimatum: ‘Either you stop drinking or the duo ends’.”
Zé Neto & Cristiano, one of the country’s biggest hits, was absent from the stage for three months. During this period, Zé Neto devoted himself to church and family.
