Raposa didn’t like the values involved in the negotiation and has no intention of getting rid of his starters for next season

Top scorer in the last Brasileirão, Kaio Jorge continues to attract the interest of foreign clubs. Thus, Cruzeiro sees the harassment growing towards his player. So much so that he rejected the first proposal for the next transfer window. After all, West Ham tried to sign the striker on loan, with an obligation to buy once the objectives were achieved.
Initially, the London club made direct contact with the striker’s staff, and the terms of the agreement were transmitted to Cruzeiro. The Hammers’ offer amounted to 4 million euros for the loan until June 2026, with a purchase obligation of 21 million euros, according to “ESPN”. In total, the negotiations could reach 161 million reais.
Cabuloso rejected West Ham’s advances. After all, he has no intention of negotiating a loan with Kaio Jorge. The club understands they can raise more than €25 million in a deal for the striker.
On the other hand, the player also does not want to leave Cruzeiro for any team. One of the goals for next season is to play in the Copa Libertadores.
Due to the good season, Cruzeiro wants to look for occasional reinforcements and not exchange its main players, a request made by Tite, the new coach of Raposa.
In recent weeks, Kaio Jorge received an offer of 30 million euros (186 million reais) from Zenit, Russia, but he was not enthusiastic about playing for Russia at the moment. The offer did not even reach Cruzeiro.
Kaio Jorge arrived at Cruzeiro last year, signed from Juventus, from Italy, for 40 million reais. This season, he has scored 26 goals and provided nine assists in 46 matches.
