Cruzeiro made a surprise during the 2-2 draw with Botafogo, Thursday (5), at Mineirão Stadium, in the 37th round of the Brazilian Championship. At the end of the first half of the match, Raposa announced and changed the club’s main sponsor. Thus, after starting the match with the betting company “Betfair” on the shirt, the Minas Gerais team returned from the break with “Betnacional”, a company in the same sector, in the uniform.
However, the two bookmakers belong to the same company. According to Itataya, the Northern Irish company Flutter, which controls Betnacional, has a desire to strengthen the Betnacional brand in Brazil in the coming years.
Therefore, the brand, which already sponsors the sport, will begin to appear on Cruzeiro’s shirt from the final period of 2025. In addition, Betnacional also sponsors names such as Galvão Bueno and Vinny Junior, player of Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team.
Galvão was even involved in the announcement of Cruzeiro’s sponsor change. In a video posted on the club’s networks and also broadcast on Mineiro TV during the break in the match with Botafogo, Pedro Lourenco, owner of SAF Celeste, “called” the narrator to warn: “Galvão, he will change!”.
Pedrinho has some hot news for us, stay tuned.

Cruzeiro has a contract with Flutter until the end of next year. Therefore, there has been no change in the amount that the company paid to the Minas Gerais club in exchange for changing the main sponsor on the shirt. Raposa receives R$43 million annually, plus bonuses for contractual targets. The partnership between the club and the Northern Irish outfit began in 2023, with Ronaldo still in charge of SAF da Raposa.
