The Federal Police carried out this Thursday morning (11) an operation against a criminal group which, according to the investigation, uses Guarulhos International Airport to send drugs abroad.
The gang used employees of the VIP lounge cleaning sector, who have access to restricted areas of the airport, to smuggle cocaine into the internal sectors of the terminal and allow the drugs to be transported abroad, according to the PF.
Ten arrest warrants and ten other search and seizure warrants were executed in Guarulhos.
During the investigation, cell phones and other materials were seized and will be sent to federal criminal experts to continue the investigation.
Those under investigation could face charges of international drug trafficking and drug trafficking conspiracy.
Contacted, Gru Airport, responsible for the terminal, did not respond until the publication of this text.
