THE Junta of Andalusia announced a new call for the 6000 scholarship for the academic year 2025/2026financial aid intended for Baccalaureate and Intermediate Training Cycle students who meet certain academic and socio-economic requirements. This purse, … effective since the 2009/2010 academic year, it was born with the objective of prevent school dropoutproviding financial support that motivates the student to continue their education and achieve academic success within the education system.
Additionally, the 6000 scholarship seeks compensate for loss of income which means for many families that their sons and daughters continue their studies instead of entering the job market prematurely. Requirements of the 6000 scholarship in Andalusia

Participate in the call for general scholarships for post-compulsory non-university education regulated by Royal Decree 1721/2007 of December 21, which establishes the regime of scholarships and personalized study aid.

Belong to a family in which all members of the family unit are registered in a municipality of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, in accordance with article 3.3 of Decree 137/2002 of April 30.

Meet the academic requirements to benefit from the lump sum amount linked to the candidate’s income resulting from the call for scholarships in non-university post-compulsory education and be registered for the full face-to-face course.

Not being in possession of or meeting the legal requirements to obtain a diploma at a level equal to or higher than the baccalaureate or technician of any profession.

In the case of students in the first year of the Baccalaureate or the Intermediate Training Cycle of Initial Professional Training, they must have completed Compulsory Secondary Education studies in the ordinary system and have obtained the title of Compulsory Secondary Education Graduate in the course immediately preceding participation in the corresponding call.

In the case of students with 6000 scholarship status from the previous year, having obtained a positive assessment in all subjects from the previous year.

Be enrolled in the full baccalaureate course or intermediate training cycles of initial professional training in an educational center of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, following these courses in person, excluding students who follow these courses in the adult education modality.

Have reached the legally established working age before January 1 of the year in which the academic year for which the scholarship is requested ends. However, students with a diagnosis of high intellectual abilities and who complete compulsory secondary education at an age lower than that normally established, due to the flexibility of the duration of compulsory schooling, may be eligible for the call for 6000 scholarships, provided that they meet the economic and academic requirements established in current regulations.

Have an income and family assets that do not exceed the thresholds established annually by the body responsible for scholarships and aid which approves the call for this scholarship.

Not carry out any professional, independent or salaried activity, nor be registered as a job seeker in any office of the Andalusian Employment Service.
Likewise, for the granting of the 6000 scholarship, the assessment of the economic situation of the family unitfor which the income corresponding to the year 2024 is taken as a reference, applying the income thresholds established specifically for this aid.

Deadlines and payment of the 6000 scholarship in Andalusia
The application period for the 6000 scholarship remains open from Friday December 5 to will end next Monday, January 5, 2026. During this period, the procedure must be carried out exclusively through the Virtual Secretariat of the Junta de Andalucía. In the event that the same student sends several applications within the deadline, only the last one registered will be taken into account, and all previous ones will be automatically canceled.
Concerning the payment of aid, The scholarship will be paid in a single payment (6,000 euros) once the ordinary assessment of the course has been completed and after verifying that the students have fulfilled all the established requirements and obligations. Since its launch during the 2009/2010 academic year, this aid has enabled more than 88,000 young Andalusians to continue their post-compulsory education; In the 2024/25 academic year alone, around 11,500 students benefited.
