During the Grande Rio street rehearsal held recently in Rio de Janeiro, a photo of Carlinhos pulling Virginia’s ear went viral on social media after the famous woman forgot to put her hand on her chest to greet the samba school.
In the recording alongside Carol Nakamura, the dance instructor made a similar gesture: while finishing one of the samba steps, he repeated the gesture, indicating that Carol Nakamura also placed her hand on his chest. The celebrity complies with the request and, at the end of the video, Carlinhos appears laughing at the situation.

On the networks, many people saw this attitude as a dig at Virginia Fonseca. “This teacher is very flirtatious and debauched. Virgínia could take lessons with Mayara who, in addition to being a woman, is super professional,” said Laís Oliveira.

This Tuesday (12/9), Carlinhos do Salgueiro denied any reprimand in Virginia during the street parade. “What people saw were signs of the rehearsal. I didn’t want to be the center of attention. The focus should be on her. Then I became a meme. In the rehearsal we work to make sure everything goes well at the time of the parade. But it doesn’t matter, I took it in stride and laughed a lot at the video,” he told columnist Lucas Pasin.
