Even if the situation was defined before the start of the last day of the Brazilian Championship, Vasco’s 5-0 defeat against Atlético-MG this Sunday (7/12) was painful for Cruzmaltino coach Fernando Diniz.

At a press conference after the duel, the coach highlighted the negative result as “the most important of his career.” Still according to Diniz, Vasco’s team must learn lessons from defeat
“I agree that it is a defeat that cannot happen, it is history. Everyone is sad, everyone is disappointed, we should have done a better job. What is left? We have to learn (…). We have to learn from the pain. It is a defeat that we cannot admit. Not 1-0, let alone 5-0,” said the coach.
“Maybe it was also the biggest defeat of my career. I’m not happy at all, quite the contrary. And the players need to have this indignation, that’s what I want, the indignation,” Diniz said.
