A man was admitted to the hospital in emergency condition, as 90% of his body was burned, as a result of the fire resulting from the explosion of his car inside the garage of his home in Lanus. The explosion, which occurred at dawn, woke up the entire neighborhood and caused scenes of panic, as people jumped from the first floor to escape the flames and neighbors took to the street after the shock wave shattered the windows and blew up other buildings in their homes.
The origin of the explosion is still unknown, although the first assumption is that the vehicle’s gas tank, which was inside the garage of the house located at 1° de Mayo and Molinido, exploded, and that the fire reached flammable products, given that the owners of the garage stored toys and other products that they were selling through e-commerce platforms.

The neighbors themselves were the first to try to put out the fire by spraying water with buckets. But the task was gigantic and fruitless. Meanwhile, the homeowner was trapped due to the fire in the garage, while the rest of his family members who were resting on the first floor of the property were trapped, unable to come down due to the fire and at the mercy of the black smoke rising from the ignition of plastic products.
