The last day of the current edition of the Brazilian Championship was played this Sunday (7/12). However, the champion of the event was already known as Flamengo won the title in the 37th round. With the trophy won, Rubro-negro reached 79 points, the same score as Botafogo, winner of the cup in 2024.
In the era of consecutive points, Cruzeiro is the champion team that scored the most points in the same edition: 100 points, in 2003. However, that season the tournament was played by 24 clubs, just like in 2004. The Brasileirão had only 20 teams in 2006.
