The former director general of the Federal Highway Police (PRF), Silvinei Vasques, was arrested this Friday (26/12), in Paraguay, while trying to board at the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, in Asunción, using a false passport. The document was in the name of Julio Eduardo. Check it out below:

Silvinei used a fake passport bearing the name Julio Eduardo
Silvinei reportedly left Brazil by land to Paraguay, avoiding airports and stricter migration controls. Then, using false documents, he attempted to board a flight to Panama, from where he would travel to El Salvador, but was arrested by local immigration police before managing to escape.
Sentenced
Silvinei, sentenced to 24 years and 6 months in prison by the Federal Court (STF) as part of core 2 of the coup plot. He and 4 other allies were allegedly responsible for the preparation of the “coup project”, the surveillance and the assassination plan of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), his vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), and Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), in addition to the coordination within the PRF to make it more difficult for voters in the Northeast region to vote in the 2022 elections.
