Distributors highlight the flaws of municipal afforestation and claim that companies invest 45 billion reais per year | Brazil

Amid a new power outage that left more than 2.2 million properties without electricity in the state of São Paulo, the president of the Brazilian Association of Electric Power Distributors (Abradee), Marcos Madureira, said that the responsibility for urban afforestation lies with municipal public authorities and that falling trees have been one of the main factors causing the blackouts recorded in major cities.
