Einstein Israelita Hospital, in charge of the management of Heliopolis Hospital, south of São Paulo, since November 10, confirmed on Thursday evening (12/4) that it had removed the three gynecologists who were caught in private activities during working hours.
The hospital administration said in a memo that starting Friday (5/12), patients who already have scheduled appointments will be cared for by new doctors, who will be reassigned to fill the vacancies for those who were removed. “Scheduled patients will be cared for by other specialists in the same specialty. It is estimated that 300 gynecology consultations will be carried out in December, which is double the number compared to November,” the text explains.
The Foundation explains that, since they are public employees, the potential disciplinary measures that could be applied to the above-mentioned doctors can only be implemented by the state. The doctors were removed from care duties until the operation was completed.
