Federal MP Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), on Friday (12/5), released details of his meeting with soldier Yuval Vajdani, a target of Brazilian justice who fled Brazil before the authorities could locate him. Eduardo is in Israel, in Tel Aviv, where he met with high-ranking officials of the country and exchanged gifts with Yuval, the soldier who congratulated him for his “sacrifice” during the war in the Gaza Strip.
“It is a pleasure to be here in Tel Aviv with Yuval, an IDF soldier who was on vacation in Brazil. A group of terrorists who were working with NGOs, they were not able to arrest the hero of the last war, who is a survivor. And I am here to say thank you for your service, for your sacrifices in this war, and also to tell you that Brazilians in Brazil have a pro-Israel opinion,” Eduardo said in a video with the soldier. looks:

(@BolsonaroSP) The Brazilian court began investigating Yuval after the Hind Rajab Foundation, which works to internationally denounce crimes against humanity, war crimes, and human rights violations committed in Palestine, filed a complaint against the soldier. After the complaint, the court ordered an investigation against Yuval on charges of committing war crimes during the war in the Gaza Strip. He is suspected of participating in the demolition of a residential building in the Palestinian Strip.
The IDF soldier was on vacation in Brazil and returned home with the assistance of the Israeli Embassy in Brazil and Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service. Yuval left Brazil before any action was taken by the National Front and traveled to Argentina where he obtained diplomatic representation from his country and returned to Tel Aviv.
In the comment on the post, Eduardo stated that Yuval was “persecuted” by the NGO that filed the complaint. Eduardo celebrated Yuval’s early return to Israel, escaping Brazilian justice, as a “defeat for Hamas on Brazilian soil.”

Also during his trip, Eduardo posted a video online while visiting a historical monument in Jerusalem, the Western Wall. The site is the holiest relic of the Second Jewish Temple, where Jews and visitors pray and leave notes with requests in the crevices of the stones.
Eduardo wrote the demand on the note and posted it online: “Release Bolsonaro.”
Eduardo’s father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, is serving a prison sentence of 27 years and 3 months following a conviction by the First Commission of the STF, for leading a criminal organization aiming to carry out a coup after the 2022 elections. Bolsonaro began serving his sentence on November 25, after Criminal Proceeding No. 2668 became final.
