
The English court will make approximately 850,000 roscones de Reyes during this Christmas campaign, as reported in a press release. The company offers around 21 different varieties of roscones in total, with different flavors, sizes and weights, although cream continues to be one of the most requested during these holidays by customers who appreciate the quality of the dough and the pure cream filling.
To make these roscones, around 730 tonnes of raw materialsamong which stand out 193,000 kilos of flour, 97,000 liters of eggs, approximately 185,000 liters of pure cream, 47,000 kilos of sugar, more than 25,000 kilos of butter, more than 46,000 kilos of candied fruit, approximately 9,000 kilos of almonds, approximately 9,000 kilos of yeast, 14,000 liters of orange blossom water and around 16,000 kilos of citrus peels, among other ingredients.
The roscones can be found at the El Corte Inglés supermarket, Hipercor and Supercoras well as via web and app.
The roscón de Reyes from El Corte Inglés has been selected numerous times by independent organizations such as the best quality of Spanish distribution, placing it at the level of artisan sweet pastry chefs and with a very attractive price.
More than 200 pastry chefs participate in the production process. Although they use a traditional recipe with more than 46 years of history, new proposals are also offered, launched every year with top quality raw materials, which place El Corte Inglés roscones on par with artisanal pastry desserts.
New varieties of pistachio and lemon cream
In the commercial proposal proposed by the company, this year stands out two new roscones as they are rfilled with pistachio and lemon cream, which is on sale in the El Corte Inglés supermarket and Supercor centers.
Also the company continues to prepare chef David Muñoz’s roscones for another year and this Christmas he will participate in two exclusive recipes with the chef that will be sold at El Club del Gourmet. Some unique roscones, of which 18,000 units will be manufactured. They are called childhood snacks Rosconut and Rosconut “Pinky Fantasy”.. The first is composed of biscuits soaked in milk, crunchy caramelized wafer and ginger cocoa, while the second is made with lemongrass whipped cream and raspberry lollipops, pink peta zetas icing and crispy meringues.
In the Gourmet Club area The cream-whipped roscón is one of the most popular. Every year it has more and more fans and for this Christmas the company has strengthened its manufacturing with more units.
