Elon Musk says European Union ‘should be abolished’ after X fine

According to the EU investigation into X, Elon Musk’s platform had committed a series of violations of European law, including deceptive practices in verifying user accounts. Musk reacted to the sanctions and said the European Union should be “abolished.”

“The European Union should be abolished and sovereignty returned to each country, so that governments can better represent their people,” the billionaire wrote. “I like Europe, but not the bureaucratic monster that is the EU,” Musk added.

This is the first sanction applied under legislation approved three years ago, which aims to combat illegal and dangerous content published by digital platforms.
