The move of striker Endrick, formerly of Palmeiras, to Real Madrid ended this Saturday (20). The Spanish club’s 2-0 victory over Sevilla was the player’s final match for the Merengue team. The athlete was not registered for the match, as he was suspended from the bench for his sending off against Celta. However, he will no longer be part of the club’s squad after the end-of-year holidays.
Endrick’s loan to Lyon is expected to be announced on the first day of the open transfer window, January 1. The striker chose the French club because he understands that he will continue to play in a top European football league. The contract lasts until the end of the current season, i.e. mid-2026.
Endrick’s first moment at Real, which could return in the future, brought millions of dollars into Palmeiras’ coffers. With his appearances for the Merengues, the striker activated three triggers provided for in the contract with the Alviverde club. However, the amount is lower than what was expected at the time of the transfer.
The Brazilian club will receive 245,000 euros, or around 1.3 million reais, for the seven goals scored by the Real striker. Another trigger is due to Endrick’s nine games as a starter for the Spanish team, who earned 675,000 euros, or around 3.7 million reais. Finally, Verdão will also receive 35 thousand euros, or approximately R$193 thousand, for the player who suffered a penalty.
In the loan to the French club, the triggers concerning individual bonuses remain active. Endrick has a contract with Real Madrid until 2030.
